HOMEMADE BEER
(Refer to General Rules, page 11)

1. Beer entered for competition must be home produced.
2. All beer entries must be in sealed glass bottles, 12oz. thru 32 oz. in size.
3. All entries will consist of 2 bottles (per entry), one entry per class.
4. All entries should be free of any markings, labels, or capsules.
5. All entrants are encouraged to pre-register by mailing, faxing or emailing a completed Contest Entry Form to one of the following: Mailing – Northeast Fair • 79 Bryden Street • Pittston Twp., PA 18640. Fax – 570-654-0819 Email – northeastfair@aol.com Subject: Department 21-2. This will eliminate unnecessary delays on drop off day. Drop off day is Sunday, June 19 between 12 & 5 PM and on Monday, June 20 between 3 and 8 pm at the Fairgrounds fire station. Entries will also be accepted on Saturday, June 25 from 10 AM to noon, pre-registration can be completed at that time. Judging will take place between 11 and 4 PM on Saturday, June 25 on the fairgrounds in the Contest Building.
6. Refrigeration for beer entries will be provided by the Fair.
7. Judging will be based on aroma, appearance, flavor, body and overall impressions.
8. All entries must be accompanied by a style description on the contest form.
For example: Scottish Ale, English Pale Ale, Dunkelweizen, Imperial Stout, Vienna Lager, etc

1st Place: $15
2nd Place: $10
3rd Place: $7
(plus ribbons)

Best of Show will be selected from Blue Ribbon winners and will receive $100 and a Rosette Ribbon.
